Washington Allston
Grammar School at approximately 410 Cambridge St near Harvard
Ave. Opened in 1879. Destoyed by a fire in 1977.
Everett School which
stood adjacent to the present Gardner school on Athol St in North
Allston. It was in this building that the first kindergarten
class in Brighton was established in 1873
Hobart School on
Hobart St dated from the 1880s.The Hobart Street playground occupies
the site today
The Harvard School
stood on North Harvard Street near the Western Avenue intersection.
Dating from 1853. It was demolished in the early 1900s
